Bongo Bob is MAARS’ featured September Bird. He came to us after a series of unhealthy homes, including exposure to domestic violence that left him deeply traumatized. Very slowly, Bongo Bob learned to trust the world again. Where he used to react impulsively and fearfully, he now looks to trusted volunteers and the flock before acting. Bongo Bob loves to dance and sing, play catch and steal newspaper.
Bongo Bob is an umbrella cockatoo, a large parrot whose costs for food, medicine, and toys is approx $60/mo or $720/year. If you would like to contribute to Bob’s health and well-being, please click above.
